Our story

Meet Ben, founder of Metrotech

Ben founded Metrotech with a clear purpose: to give clients a straightforward, transparent and responsive way to build.

Master’s in Structural Engineering · P.Eng. · PMP

With six years of engineering experience and twelve years in construction, Ben has worked on commercial projects across Vancouver, including senior project management roles on major developments. He also holds a real estate licence, giving him a broader understanding of lease requirements, project timelines, and the priorities of both landlords and tenants.

Metrotech is built around four core principles:

  1. Straight answers

Clear advice, a well-defined scope, and open communication from the beginning—so clients know what to expect throughout the project.

  2. Open-book pricing

Transparent costs and clearly documented changes. Any additional work is reviewed and priced before proceeding.

  3. Responsive service

Prompt communication, regular project updates, and respect for the client, the property, and the people using the space.

  4. Hands-on from start to finish

Ben remains actively involved throughout the project—from the initial estimate and planning stage through construction, deficiencies, and final handover.

Our specialty

We build inside occupied offices, tenanted floors and Vancouver’s heritage towers.

Many projects happen in buildings that can’t close. We plan the work around tenants, access, noise restrictions and operating hours, and protect heritage fabric along the way.
